Ibiza With Kids More Than You Think
With a reputation for being one of the best adult playgrounds in the world, it’s not surprising that a lot of parents choose to fly solo to Ibiza. But anyone with insider knowledge will tell you the real story the white isle is actually a wonderland for kids. Here are some suggestions for half or full day excursions guaranteed to paint a smile on their faces.
Water Parks
Ibiza has excellent water parks for families. In Playa d'en Bossa you'll find Aguamar Water Park for full-on alfresco fun, and Gran Piruleto Park with slides, climbing nets and ball pits. Over on the west coast near Port des Torrent, Sirenis Aquagames Ibiza offers log flumes, rides and a themed Caribbean pirates' area that sends younger kids' imaginations running wild. For wave riders and adrenaline seekers, Bam-Bu-Ku Ibiza is the family-friendly day venue not to miss.
Go Karting & Horse Riding
Back on dry land, competitive siblings will love Ibiza Karting on the main route into San Antonio, while on the opposite side of the island Go Karts Santa Eulalia offers a more sprawling and impressive track. Just five minutes away you'll find Can Mayol, a horse rescue centre perfect for those who favour hooves over wheels, or for something further inland, Club Hípico Cuadras es Puig offers beautiful guided tours of the surrounding countryside.
Animals & Nature
Can Muson in Santa Eulalia is a farm school where kids get up close to the animals while mum and dad enjoy a meal at the onsite organic restaurant. Terra Masia offers a similar experience, with children learning about local animals, birds, insects and butterflies. Head to Es Currals, a family-run alpaca farm in Cala San Vicente, to meet the cuddliest creatures on the island. And to delight your little mermaids, Aquarium Cap Blanc in San Antonio is an underground cavern full of Mediterranean fish and sea creatures guaranteed to fascinate.
Arts & Creativity
Numero 74 L'Atelier Ibiza in Santa Gertrudis is a beautiful creative hub at the heart of the island. Kids enjoy ceramics, painting and cooking workshops while parents relax on the lush alfresco terrace. We can't promise they'll roll into bed exhausted — but we can guarantee they'll have made memories to last a lifetime.
